Making Bread
Different filmmaker and different subject, but the same idea. And for those who are interested in, but perhaps daunted by the prospect of, making bread, one of the books I’ve enjoyed and found helpful is Artisan Bread in Five Minutes a Day: The Discovery That Revolutionizes Home Baking

What a beautiful video! Thank you for finding and sharing. Your posts about making remind me of a book I’ve read called “Culture Making” by Andy Crouch that encourages Christians to reclaim our calling as cultivators and creators. You’ve re-inspired me to create something this weekend!
I was reminded of this poem:
BakerWoman God
Bakerwoman God,
I am your living Bread.
Strong, brown, Bakerwoman God.
I am your low, soft, and being-shaped loaf.
I am your rising bread,
well-kneaded by some divine and knotty pair of knuckles,
by your warm earth-hands.
I am bread well-kneaded.
Put me in fire, Bakerwoman God,
put me in your own bright fire.
I am warm, warm as you from fire.
I am white and gold, soft and hard, brown and round.
I am so warm from fire.
Break me, Bakerwoman God!
